Assessment 3 Video Presentation
A 15 minute video presentation outlining the Year 11 ATAR Unit on Popular Culture.
The video is structured like an introduction to the unit lesson, I have also taken the time to introduce myself to the students as this would be the first time I have worked with them.
We begin with a video clip on music video to set the mood in the class and create interest. Then we get to know each other and set some ground rules for the class room. The video explains the learning outcomes and benefits of completing this course referring to WACE, along with a clear explanation of the course structure and assessment tasks. Students are also introduced to the website and are asked to spend some time before the next lesson exploring the site. The lesson also poses some questions to the students to get them thinking about the topic of Music Videos in preparation for the next lesson.
Included on this page are all the slides, lesson plan and handouts used in creating this video presentation.

Annette's presentation is thorough and highly articulate. She demonstrates strong media skills in the construction of her video and her content knowledge of the syllabus is detailed and accurate. Annette has a logical sequential progression that clearly explains requirements and uses appropriate visual prompts. At times she veers slightly off topic, however, she is still showing sound use of media conventions and observing the key concepts outlined in the readings. Essentially her work is clever, well planned and reflects the syllabus outline accurately and imaginatively.
